On Facebook a came across an interesting post from the Bach Centre.

You might wonder what the heading “Wordles” and the Bach Centre have in common or even share. Very simple it’s the Wordles web site.

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

You might have seen Wordle pictures on various web sites or someone wearing a T-Shirt with a Wordle. I always wondered how those pictures were created. Now I know :-).

Give it a try – it’s fun to play around with it.

Below you find the Wordle created with the tags of this blog:

P.S.: To “download” your created wordle as JPEG/GIF/PNG/etc. you need to take a screenshot.
